The Crust

The Surface of the Earth is a thin crust of solid rock

The Earth is covered by a thin crust of solid rock about 10 to 20km thick

The Upper Mantle

The Surface of the Earth floats on top of a layer of molton rock called the Upper Mantle

The Earth's crust floats on a molten layer of rock called the Mantle. The top part is called the Upper Mantle.

The Lower Mantle

Below the Upper Mantle is another layer of molton rock called the Lower Mantle

The lower, biggger, part of the Mantle is called the Lower Mantle

The Outer Core

The Outer Core is a layer of molton metal below the Mantle

At the centre of the Earth is the core. The outer core is molten.

The Inner Core

At the center of the Earth is a solid ball of nickle and iron called the Inner Core

At the very centre of the Earth is the Inner core, a solid sphere of nickle and iron.
